Text Box: Cindy Carleton-Simon, Secretary
Years with Playhouse South: 2
Email: cindy_simon@playhousesouth.org
Biography:
Cindy has been actively involved with the theatre since 2001 when her “son” performed in his first production with Theatre Under the Stars (TUTS).  While with TUTS, Cindy solicited raffle/door prize donations, sold raffle tickets and flowers, ran hospitality, ushered and handled many administrative tasks.  Cindy was also producer and talent scout for TUTS’ 2003 Mother’s Day Spring Fest Variety Show,” co-producer and talent scout for their 2002 Christmas Spectacular production, vice-president, acting president (for a short time), and assistant treasurer.  She is more of a behind-the-scenes volunteer, but has been known to get up on stage with a microphone a time or two (only to announce, of course).  Cindy is the board member liaison, facilitating communications and scheduling between the theatre and the City of Kettering Board of Education.  You may now find Cindy helping in hospitality, at the box office, ushering, running errands, re-organizing, and basically volunteering anywhere that is needed when time permits.  She is also trying her hand as Board Secretary.  In Cindy’s other life, she does volunteer work for the Corvair Club of Cincinnati and gets paid for her “real” job that she obtained based on her never-ending volunteer work.  She is part of a business management team that provides continuing medical education seminars and facilitates resident physician training for osteopathic physicians all over the U.S.  Cindy recently married another PHS volunteer, who coincidentally is the father of the son that dragged them into the theater back in 2001!

Sean Mitchell, Member-At-Large - Publicity
Years with Playhouse South: 1
Email: sean_mitchell@playhousesouth.org
Biography:
Although I have only been with the theater for a short time, I have
enjoyed every moment. I am very fond of the theater, and I cannot
think of a better way to spend my extra time other than working with
all of the dedicated people and great performers at Playhouse South.
As a recent graduate from the University of Toledo in Public
Relations, I find that the theater is a great place to open up and use
some new ideas. When possible, I do motivational speaking and enjoying
cracking a joke here and there. I am very excited for the future of
Playhouse South and with Publicity. One can never have too many people
and there are never too many ideas.

Text Box: Jim Spencer, Member-At-Large - Special Events
Years with Playhouse South: 3
Email: jim_spencer@playhousesouth.org
Biography:
Jim has been involved in community theater since 1991, mostly with Theatre Under the Stars in Kettering. Starting with a small role in "Carousel", he has appeared in over 20 productions with TUTS, including featured roles in "Sound of Music"(Herr Zeller), "Anything Goes"( Elisha J. Whitney), "Godspell"(John the Baptist/Judas) and "My Fair Lady"(Alfred P. Doolittle). Jim has also appeared with the Dayton Playhouse, Sorg Opera Company and Dayton Opera Funatics. He was the last past president of the board for TUTS and the first show he directed (Larry Shue's "The Foreigner") was unfortunately the last show produced by TUTS. When the opportunity arose to merge theaters with Playhouse South, he worked dilligently with the PHS board to make the transition as smooth as possible. Since then Jim has directed "Inspecting Carol" and appeared in "Company" and "The Wizard of Oz" (as the Wizard). He is working on several different shows in the upcoming season, and has hopes of being with this group for a long, long time. Peace!
